The buck-toothed mammal emerged from his nook in Gobbler’s Knob, Pennsylvania, to crowds at the scene of the largest and best-known Groundhog Day celebration in the United States. Groundhog Club handler AJ Dereume holds Punxsutawney Phil in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania, on Friday. While Punxsutawney Phil may be the most famous groundhog seer, in large part thanks to Groundhog Day, a beloved 1993 comedy movie starring Bill Murray, he is not the only one.
