In the forest, a burrow is inhabited by a groundhog named Grover. Today is Groundhog's Day, and Grover Groundhog is ready to make his appearance. Despite these changes, the cartoon was released in January 1947, two years after its story was finalized. It is Groundhog Day so, naturally, Porky Pig goes hunting groundhogs and takes his dopey dog, Mandrake.
